Course Description

Prevention of alveolar bone loss and reconstruction of lost alveolar bone structure are mandatory for predictable and long-term stability of implant-supported restorations. Soft and hard tissue complications can lead to unsatisfactory results including unacceptable esthetics, tooth morphology and poor phonetics. This course emphasizes the technical aspects of ridge preservation and ridge augmentation in addition to the practical aspects of case presentation and case preparation.

Topics include:

  • Accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning for soft and hard tissue defects
  • Contemporary techniques in ridge preservation and ridge augmentation
  • Selection criteria for appropriate graft materials and barrier membranes
  • Strategies for achieving predictable and successful bone regeneration
