As a student financial aid recipient, you have a number of rights and responsibilities.
Student Rights
Students have the right to know the:
- Financial aid programs available at ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏAPP, including how a student applies for student aid.
 - Criteria used to determine financial aid eligibility and calculate need.
 - Terms and conditions of all awards made by Student Financial Services.
 - Cost of Attendance, Student Refund, Return of Title IV funds, and Withdrawal policy.
 - Interest rate of your loan, the total amount to be repaid, repayment procedures, when payment begins and the length of the repayment period.
 - Procedure for reducing or cancelling your student loan.
 - Academic programs offered.
 - Accreditation status.
 - Student retention and completion data.
 - Student Financial Services policies surrounding satisfactory academic progress.
 - Special facilities and services available for the handicapped.
 - Campus safety and security statistics and crime prevention programs.
 - Rights under Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
 
Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for:
- Completing all forms accurately and by the published deadlines.
 - Submitting information requested by Student Financial Services staff in a timely manner.
 - Keeping Student Financial Services and the Registrars Office informed of any changes in address, name, marital status, financial situation, or any change in student status.
 - Reporting to Student Financial Services any additional assistance from non-University sources such as scholarships, loans, fellowships, and educational benefits.
 - Notifying Student Financial Services of a change in enrollment status.
 - Maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
 - Re-applying for aid each year
